Product description
AVUÁ PREMIUM CACHACA "JEQUETIBÁ ROSA" - 40% VOL - 0,7 L - BRAZIL
Avuá Cachaça is an artisanal, small-batch sugarcane spirit from the fourth-generation family business, Fazenda da Quinta, in the highlands of Rio de Janeiro.
We have summarized details on the production of Avuá Cachaça in an extra article, as well as a brief description of what Cachaça actually is.
For the Avuá Jequetibá Rosa, the base distillate is aged for 12-24 months in barrels made of Jequetibá Rosa wood. The wood of the huge and meanwhile quite rare tree is very dark and has a very fine structure, which also gives off rather subtle aromas to the cachaça. The sugar cane distillate is enriched with only a slightly fruity component and has a subtle bitter-floral finish. Despite its rather delicate structure, the cachaça appears much fuller and more voluminous in the mouth.
Drinking recommendation:
Pure.
There is actually no good reason to mix a cocktail at Avuá Jequetibá Rosa. The tropical wood used for storage in the barrel is so rare and probably nowhere else used for aging spirits that one should concentrate fully on it. Also at the Facenda da Quinta there is only one barrel made of this wood, so that there will probably be no more supplies from this bottling.
