About the winery:
Few connoisseurs of the Chilean wine scene know that today's Tarapacá winery was once called Zavala. Only the later President of Chile, Alessandri, helped Zavala to name the province in which he once worked as a deputy for the Chilean Senate. Tarapacá is the northernmost province of Chile, but at the same time one of the most resonant names when talking about great wines.
Despite an eventful history with various owners, Tarapacá always stuck to the typical and unmistakable wine style:
Gran Reservas, powerful wines that become more voluminous hour by hour after opening. With every sip, they convey their origin from the volcanic crater in the Isla de Maipo, convince with varietal fruit and the most expressive terroir.
