Product description
TARAPACÁ CABERNET SAUVIGNON RESERVA - ORGANIC WINE - 2020 - CHILE
The Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva Organic Wine seems to be ahead of its time. Not only organically produced and certified, but also uncompromisingly sustainable throughout the entire production process. The bottle is made of lighter glass, the cork is made of natural cork oak, the label is made of recycled paper and there is even no capsule at all. Everything to reduce the ecological footprint and define the wine production of tomorrow.
The wine was also produced with the same meticulous determination. Ruby red in the glass. On the nose, aromas of red fruits, especially strawberries. But also some dried fruit like figs & dates. In the finish with a subtle vanilla aroma from the wooden barrel. Balanced and smooth with substance and flow.
Organic control numbers:
Ours: DE-ÖKO-006

About the winery:
Few connoisseurs of the Chilean wine scene know that today's Tarapacá winery was once called Zavala. Only the later President of Chile, Alessandri, helped Zavala to name the province in which he once worked as a deputy for the Chilean Senate. Tarapacá is the northernmost province of Chile, but at the same time one of the most resonant names when talking about great wines.
Despite an eventful history with various owners, Tarapacá always stuck to the typical and unmistakable wine style:
Gran Reservas, powerful wines that become more voluminous hour by hour after opening. With every sip, they convey their origin from the volcanic crater in the Isla de Maipo, convince with varietal fruit and the most expressive terroir.
