Ed Flaherty, one of the best and most important oenologists in Chile, opens the doors to his latest project with his wine "Casa del Magnolio". In 2004, he founded Flaherty Wines, a boutique winery, with his longtime partner, Jennifer Hoover. Casa del Magnolio is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Pais & Petite Sirah that is as ingenious as it is innovative. A cuvée that reflects the terroir of Chile on the one hand, Ed's skills on the other and last but not least his Californian origins. A deep ruby red wine with a range of aromas that goes far beyond the standard spectrum of Chilean wines. Very full-bodied, rich in extracts with a phenomenal finish and high recognition value.

Pioneers were always trailblazers, often daredevils who, with their goal clearly in mind, never lost sight of it in order to finally arrive successfully. A modern representative of this genre is undoubtedly Ed Flaherty. His “Flaherty” project in the Aconcagua Valley has barely taken off when he goes to the Maule Valley, 500 km away. Gentle bumps swing into the horizon, covered with vines of the Tempranillo, Petite Syrah and País varieties. They are rooted in deep red clay, which once originated from granite rocks. The pride of the successful winegrower, even artist, flashes from every word he says. Having ideas is one thing - bringing them to a successful conclusion in reality is another.
