Koyle Royale is the top line of single-varietal wines from the Undurraga family. The winery follows biodynamic farming guidelines and is one of the leading Demeter-certified operations in Chile.

The 2018 vintage brings us a year of beautiful balance, with pure and clear aromas, a hint of Asian spices and violet fragrance, as well as pureed blackcurrants and blackberries. These aromas also come through on the juicy palate, which is fresh and well-balanced, offering a velvety sensation with a crisp aftertaste.

The grapes were harvested in extremely small, selected parcels (less than one bottle per plant) from high-density vines in our Los Lingues vineyard. The vines are farmed biodynamically in volcanic rocky soils, allowing the roots to absorb minerality and complexity from the stones. The vineyards are carefully pruned using the double Guyot method, leaving only 4 buds per cane to express the origin as much as possible. When reaching optimal ripeness in early March, the grapes are hand-picked and brought to the cellar for meticulous sorting. Vinification takes place in small tanks to ensure a gentle extraction of aromas, flavors, and tannins. After fermentation, the Koyle Royale Malbec is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
