This mezcal made from 18 to 25-year-old, wild-growing Sierrudo agaves comes from the master mezcalero José Luis Sánchez “Shonga” from Santa Catarina Minas, Oaxaca, Mexico, about 1,500m above sea level, and is one of the very few that is " ancestral". Sierrudo is a wild, very rare species of the species Agave Americana, which is one of the oldest varieties.
