VIÑA KOYLE SYRAH "ROYALE" - 2019 - CHILE - ORGANIC/DEMETER

The 2019 vintage of Koyle Royale Syrah displays an intense purple color, accompanied by flavors of blackcurrant, blackberry, and raspberry fruits, as well as graphite and mineral notes. On the palate, it showcases a fresh and balanced profile. The tannins are silky and velvety, leading to a muscular yet refreshing finish, which is influenced by the Grenache.

The grapes for this wine were harvested from extremely small, selected parcels of high-density vines in the Colchagua Valley. These vines grow on rocky slopes, allowing their roots to absorb the minerals and freshness from the granitic and basaltic rocks of the Los Lingues Mountains. The vineyards are meticulously pruned using the double Guyot method, with strict canopy management and minimal irrigation, all to express the unique terroir as much as possible. When the grapes reach optimal ripeness, they are carefully hand-picked and brought to the cellar for sorting. Vinification takes place in small tanks to achieve the best extraction of aromas, flavors, and silky tannins. After fermentation, the Syrah is aged for 18 months in 400-liter barrels, blended shortly before bottling, and bottled without filtration.
