The premium rum received numerous awards from all over the world, most recently bronze at the "International Rum Conference" in Madrid, Spain 2015.

Sweet and fruity character. The Ron Botucal from Venezuela, formerly called Ron Diplomatico, is a pleasure for connoisseurs and beginners alike. The new name comes from the word "botuka" which means "green hill". The change took place in 2012 as there was a possible risk of confusion with the Diplomat brand of brandy.

Rum made from molasses using the pot still process in copper stills. The Reserva Exclusiva matures in particularly small barrels made of white oak for twelve years. It consists of 80 percent heavy, 20 percent light distillates.

Aroma
Fruity, sweet and spicy aromas.

Taste
The taste is strong and complex of ripe tropical fruits, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon and spices. The finish is long with notes of dark chocolate, orange and caramel.
