ACAPULCO DESIGN - THE RING TABLE - WALNUT VENEER

Iconic design from Mexico interpreted internationally: We are expanding our product portfolio with a dining table for the first time. This complements the group around the Acapulco Chair and is inspired by the unmistakable design language of the design classic and its dining chair variants. In close cooperation with industrial designer Olivia Herms, longtime project manager at Konstantin Grcic, we now offer a dining table whose development - from design to production - takes place in Germany.

The round dining table is characterized by a filigree metal frame with butterfly-shaped struts. A central ring acts as a connecting element, which elegantly brings the table legs and table top together - a striking detail that is already used in the Acapulco Chairs. With the construction, Olivia Herms continues the design language of the Acapulco Chair: "The table is a natural further development of the Acapulco Chair and inspired by its delicate and complex geometries," explains the designer. "Viewed together, the table's shape also influences the perception of the chair," adds designer Olivia Herms.

Friends come together at the round table: As a clear reference to our existing collection, the Ring Table not only continues the filigree, complex design of the Acapulco Chairs, but also allows everyone to experience conviviality as the epitome of the Mexican way of life. The new piece of furniture thus completes the product family from Acapulco Design in a contemporary way.

Contemporary design made in Bavaria: While the Acapulco Chairs and the Dining Chairs AD-1 and AD-4 are traditionally made in a factory in Mexico City, the entire development process of the table took place in Germany. Production is based in Waakirchen, Bavaria, near Lake Tegernsee.

Galvanized steel frame, powder coated. Table top walnut veneer. Very high quality and durable, scratch-resistant surface. All components and the material are manufactured in Germany. Colour: walnut. For indoor use only.
